“I recently purchased a house and decided to have the floors (mix of top nailed with inlays and tongue & groove) refinished before moving in. I had a three week window between my possession date and my move in date so it was important that the floors be completed several days before moving in. I booked an estimate with Ed who arrived as scheduled and outlined his recommendations after assessing the floors. Shortly after Rita provided me with a detailed, competitive, estimate with time frame on when the job would start and end. The scope was approx 1,000 sq ft of floor to be sanded and finished along with some repair work in one of the rooms. For the repair work, Ed sourced similar vintage and exact size pieces to match what was already in the room. Before and during the job, Ed took the time to explain the various steps in refinishing the floors and why he was using certain products. Furthermore, the job was started and completed on time and his estimate was the final price.
The dustless system that Ed uses is true as I didn't have to dust ledges, doors, cabinets after the floors were refinished. The cleanliness of the house was the same after Ed finished the floors as it was before.
Since the floors were re-done, everyone who has been in my house has commented on the floors and no one has noticed that any repair work was done.
Both Ed and Rita were prompt, honest and professional throughout the entire process. I would definitely have Ed refinish my floors if I buy another house and I have recommended him to friends.”
